CENTRE FOR CO-ARCHITECTURE KYOTO

First established in 2023 by Shinichi Kawakatsu (born in 1983) as a dedicated platform for curating and disseminating knowledge about architecture in Kyoto. The Centre for Co-Architecture Kyoto (CoAK) venue was opened in Kyoto City in 2024. In addition to holding events such as exhibitions and workshops, CoAK provides architectural guidance and tour coordination, as well as architectural consultation and technical support for local communities. Through these efforts, CoAK aims to deepen the general public’s understanding of and promote dialogue about contemporary architectural practice.
